Jesus Christ is the Son of God. In His great mercy, He came down from heaven; being born as one of us. He taught us about the love God has for each of us. He chose to die on the cross to take the punishment each of us warrants for our disobedience to God (sin). He offers each of us redemption, hope and the promise of eternal life. He offers this through a relationship. Jesus desires a relationship with each of us. That relationship is forged and strengthened through the sacraments in particular but also through prayer, reading the Bible and acts of service.
