Respect Life and Pregnancy Support Prayer to the Virgin Mary Mary, we pray today for all mothers who are afraid to be mothers. We pray for those who feel threatened and overwhelmed by their pregnancy. Intercede for them, that God may give them the grace to say yes and the courage to go on. May they have the grace to reject the false solution of abortion. May they say with you, "Be it done unto me according to your word." May they experience the help of Christian people, and know the peace that comes from doing God's will. Amen. DIAPER DEPOT CHALLENGE We invite each family to help fill up the crib in the narthex with diapers and wipes to donate to Mother & Unborn Baby Care (MUBC). With the increasing number of clients MUBC assists, their diaper expenses are now $600 per week. They are in need of baby wipes and every size diaper and pull-ups. Please help us reach the goal of filling up the entire crib. What an easy way to support the culture of life! Chris or Fr. Mark can help connect you with a wonderful local organization that is set up to supply you with diapers, formula, baby clothes, cribs and all you may be in need of. Click here to view the website of Mother and Unborn Baby Care which is located on Wisconsin Avenue in Appleton. Know that we are already praying for you.

O Mary, Mother of Jesus and Mother of us all, we turn to you today as the one who said "Yes" to Life. "You will conceive and bear a Son," the angel told you. Despite the surprise and the uncertainty about how this could be, you said yes. "Be it done unto me according to your word."
Help Mother & Unborn Baby Care save lives from "the bottom" up!

What's the Respect Life Committee all about? This committee promotes the sanctity of life as it conflicts with abortion, euthanasia, capital punishment, embryonic stem cell research, abuse, etc. The committee communicates the value of life to parishioners by furnishing literature and displays and by conducting programs; all of which emphasize life issues. The committee interacts with other life-related groups in the Fox Valley and Green Bay Diocese. Want to help? Have an idea, a pro-life prayer, a new event?
Please come to one of our meetings, the first Thursday of the month from 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Our next meeting is in November 13th. Hope to see you there!

Prayer for the Permanent Closing of Appleton's Abortion Facility
Father, all life is in your care. You have entrusted us to one another, that we may show our brothers and sisters the same love You have for us.
We pray, then, for the least among us, the children in the womb. Protect them from the violence of abortion. We pray for those that are scheduled to die at the Grand Chute Abortion Facility.
Save them from death. Give new hope to their parents, that they may turn away from the desperate act of abortion. Grant conversion to the abortionists and to the staff.
Show us how we are to respond to the bloodshed in our midst, and lead us to the day when this place of death will be transformed into a haven of life. Guard us with your joy and your peace, for in You life is victorious. We pray in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen!
- Fr. Frank Pavone, Priests for Life.

Today our society faces unprecedented scientific developments that penetrate the very mysteries of life and pose serious ethical challenges. The National Catholic Bioethics Center (NCBC) has a long history of addressing ethical issues in the life sciences and medicine. Established in 1972, the Center is engaged in education, research, consultation, and publishing to promote and safeguard the dignity of the human person in health care and the life sciences. The Center is unique among bioethics organizations in that its message derives from the official teaching of the Catholic Church: drawing on the unique Catholic moral tradition that acknowledges the unity of faith and reason and builds on the solid foundation of natural law.
